Today’s children are dealing with an overwhelming amount of visual distractions and sensory inputs. These can have an impact on some children and limit their ability to deal with stresses. Self-regulation is not to be confused with self-control. Self-regulation is how a child deals with the stresses from their body. It is not a child's responsibility to control these, rather a parent’s responsibility to help them regulate and navigate their emotions.

In this episode Adam Patterson shares some practical tips to help reduce stresses for our children.

Host: Rae Lang (Director of Teaching and Learning @Woodland Pre-Schools)
